CHASSIS NUMBER PLATE 'AUSTIN MORRIS GROUP' that is suitable for the following vehicles :

MG MIDGET MkIII & MIDGET 1500 ; YEARS 1970-1979.

This chassis plate is manufactured in the UK and is made from lightweight aluminium with the words 'AUSTIN MORRIS GROUP BRITISH LEYLAND UK LTD' printed onto it. It has been faithfully reproduced from an original chassis plate and is correct in terms of size, colour and font size.

It locates on the inner bodywork of the car and is held in place by either rivets or screws (depending upon the model ; fixings not included).

The original chassis ID plate is, after 35+ years now usually tatty, damaged or missing, so if you want that straight from the factory look, this is definitely the part for you. Ideal to use if you have repaired your chassis rails and then painted them and don't want to use the original metal plate.
